I am so happy that the year is finally almost over. For some reason this year felt shorter then the rest. But the main thing that Im happy about is that there is no more math class until next year. I seriously absolutley positivley scincerily HATE MATH. I am also exited because we are going to the P.N.E tommorow, and I am going to be really ticked off if I am with people who are scared of scary rides, because I love big scary rides, I could basicly do any ride in the world. But the only rides I hate are the super spinny rides witch I refer to as “pukers”. Although I am not scared of them one bit.

Most land volcanoes are located near convergent bounderies. Eruptions occur when one plate is being subducted under another. Mt. St. Helens is an example of a convergent volcano. watch the video above to see St. Helens erupt!

On May, 10, 2010 my little brother had a pro d day as well as all of North Van schools. I spent the half of that day looking after him and doing some homework. It was really boring for the first half of that day but then my brother went to his friends house, so then I was completley on my own. Well at least with my two pussy cats and my goldfish who has been living for three years and now reacently caught a fish deseise that I can’t remember the name of (somthing difficult). So I thought scince I got my home work none I would go hang out with Dignan. So I gave him a quick shout and we went to go hit some balls down at Veiwlynn with this other guy named Liam and Dig’s little brother. We did that for a while and then we went to lynn valley mall to meet Dignans monn at the dental centre. While we were waiting we went to A&W to get a baby burger. I was out of cash so I asked Dig for some extra cash, he gave me two bucks. It was ernough but then I got thirsty, so I asked for son more. He didn’t have any so I asked Liam. I was generous and gave me 4 bucks .Then I got my root beer. After we went to to my house and asked my mom for some food money. She was generous too and gave us 15 bucks. We then decided that we were full and baught some cap guns at Lily’s and we had fake gun fights. Then we went to Liams house and played som wii, we played Mario and Sonisc at the oylimpic games. When I was there my mom called and said I had to go home.

This week has been a very busy week. We had our last session of curling at North Shore winter club. I found curling realy fun. I also find curling quite easy, well at least the sliding part. The Del Fuegos which was my team one the tornament so we got meadels which actually air balls attached to a neck strap.

 We also had buddies this week which was fun also. In the morning we went to our buddie class to make valentines bags.

 There are only five more days until the oylimpic break I am very exited to get off of school again, this year is going by so fast. I think it’s just becaus I’m enjoing myself a lot more than last year. Grade six was the worst year of my life last yeay felt like it was ten years but this year feels mutch shorter.

 On Teusday we had our 5th volleyball  game at Chartwell. We lost one of our games but we won all the rest, that seems to be the pattern for most of our volley ball games. On Teusday we are going to the jamboree at Rockridge, hopefully our team will do farily well.

 We also started a new project in L.A. It is an oylimpic wiki. Me Daneil, and Han got chosen to do mens hockey. I was very exited when I found out that I was doing hockey because it is one of my favourite sports. Overall this week went well.

Quatchi is one of the three olympic mascots that is going to appear at the 2010 winter games in Vancouver. Out of the three mascots Quatchi is probably my favourite. Quatchi is especially likes of hockey. His dream is becoming a becoming a famous goalie, because he is very big. But no one can question his passion. He knows that if he works hard and always does his best, he might one day get his dream. Quatchi is always encouraging his friends to join him on journeys across Canada. He is also often recruiting others to play hockey.The sasquatch is a popular figure in local native legends of the Pacific West Coast. The sasquatch reminds people of the mystery and wonder that exist in the natural world, igniting our imagination about the possibility of undiscovered creatures in the great Canadian wilderness. Quatchi is found in the mysirious forests of British Columbia, his favourite coulor is chill blue (like the coulor of his ear muffs), and he likes to try all kinds of food.

It felt a little bit weird going back to school but this week it was pretty good. Catching back up on work was the hardest thing, especially math. Eventually I got used to school again. Today was very exiting because the grade 6′s and 7′s learned to curl at the Winter Club. At first I found sliding quite diffucult, but then I got used to it. I think that curling is a fun sport, I really enjoyed it. Our classes are going curling every Friday for a month. Another exiting thing that happend is that volleyball started. Our practices are on Teusdays and Wednesdays, our coaches are Mr. Beck and Mr. Schofeild. This Teusday is our first game ageinst Hollyburn. This week we have quite a bit of homework. Our sub jects that we have to get completed is math, socials, capp, L.A., and this blog im typing right now. I survived my first week back, I cant wait for the olyimpic break to start!

Today, November 20th is I Am Silent Day. Today all grade 7′s are expeted to be silent for the whole entire day today. It’s gone quite well so far, the only time we talked a little was in P.E when we where playing skittles and of course recess and lunch. Part of Silent Day is that every grade 7 got a Silent Day pledge sheet. Our teacher wanted us to get at least one pledge. How the pledges work is that you go around to people you know like family, close neighbours or friends of your family and ask them if they will donate a dollar fof every block you’re silent. The ME to We team and all the grade 7′s are raising money for two water taps so children could get clean drinking water in Africa. We have to raise $ 3,000 to reach our goal. If a sudent raises more than $ 50 on their own he or she will get a free homework pass. You can only use it for homework, not tests. I think that Silent Day has gone well!

Today we had an interesting feild trip to the Vancouver Aquarium. We left the school at about 8:30 to board a transit bus which said Special on it that means it was only meant to fit the two grade seven classes. Once we got there we met up with our parent leaders and our groups and we walked around to the back of the aquarium where we got distributed into two lines. Those two lines were the groups that leave at different times of the day, then both groups headed off to the room that has the jellyfish. We looked at the displays around there for a while, then we went to the the section called Tresures of The B.C Coast. That section had all the sea creatures from the coastal waters of British Columbia. After we went with our aquarium leader to the amazon display which I learned a lot of things I didn’t know before, like toocans beaks are long so that they can stick their beak into a birds nest in a tree and they get the birds eggs that are in the tree hole. I also learned that the difference between a tortise and a turtle is that tortises can only go on ground, and turtles can go in either water or ground. One of the best parts was when we got to see a 4D movie about shallow waters. 4D is the same thing as 3D but with effects. The documentry on shallow waters was great but I wish it was a little bit longer. Today I had a fun day at the aquarium.

I know this halloween is going to be so much fun. This year I’m going to go trick or treating as a jack ‘o lantern. For my costume I’m going to wear two burlap sacks sewd together, and a fake pumpkin on my head. Its pretty simple. My brother is going as a frankinstein. He was going to be a mad scientist but then he changed his mind right at the last minute. I’m going trick or treating with my friend Jordan who is also going to be a jack’o lantern with me. My brother is going with one of his friends too. After trick or treating we are all going to go to Jordan’s house and light off some fireworks. Last year we both shared a Cherry Box and bought some other seperate stuff. This year we each bought our own pack of fireworks. I got the Cherry Box again wich is about $ 80, but I got a good deal on it and I got it for only $ 40. Jordan got a pack that is quite bigger than mine. He got the Enemy Territory pack wich is $ 170. It has one of my most favourite fireworks in it. It is called the Pithon. I’m really looking foward to a great hollween.

This week was just an average week.  At school we just did a regular schedule.  Although today we had our first grade 7 basketball meeting.  I’m very excited for this basketball season start.  I think we are going to have a pretty good team this year.  All month long I have been practising on the courts outside so I could get better when the season actualy comes.  Today we also had a Greenstar assembly in the gym.  The Greenstarr assebly was about ipods.  We talked about the generations of the ipod and how they progresed over the year.  We also talked about how many people in the world buy ipods and iphones.  Suprisingly there wasn’t as much people in the world that owned ipods as I thought.  Tonight I have baseball training at X-treme Gaps and we will be practising hitting.  These are all the things that happened this week, hopefully next week will be a good one too.
